MS/PhD opportunity

I am searching for a student to join the lab in the Fall of 2027. There are a variety of available research projects spanning from water resource management in Wyoming to global remote sensing of river processes. This funded position also has the opportunity for the student to define new projects based on their interests. The ideal applicant will have some experience with hydrology, remote sensing, and or programming languages.

This position will be afilliated with the Department of Geology & Geophysics and can optionally participate in the interdisciplinary Hydrologic Science Program. Applications will go through the Department of Geology & Geophysics graduate program with applications due by January 15th. Financial aid for applications may be available.

Please reach out to me directly before applying (see below).

On the use of AI in communications: If you are contacting me, I want to hear from you! While I support the use and development of AI for many general and modeling tasks, the use of generative AI to read my publications, write your research questions, and fill out the form will be both obvious and uninteresting. These responses will be ignored. If you send me a genuine response, I promise I will read it and consider you.
